ONE WAY TICKET TO GANGLAND (UNREPORTED WORLD)

Reporter Krishnan Guru-Murthy and director Jamie Welham find out what life is like for deportees who’ve been sent from the US to gang-ravaged El Salvador, as part of President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration. Many of them arrived in the States as children more than 20 years ago and are returning to a country they barely know.

STORY

The documentary follows two central characters, Renee, who fled to America when he was 14 after his father was murdered by the gangs and wants to return to the US and Wilfredo, an ex-gang member who helps deportees adjust to their new lives in El Salvador.
